The mission of the Altamaha Baptist Music Ministry is to proclaim God’s Word and greatness in all the world. Through a blended worship service, we seek to give thanks to and glorify God as well as inspire, comfort, and teach the church.
The worship ministry at ABC offers several ways for members to serve and use their talents.
Worship Choir – Teen through adult members are welcome to be a part of the choir. This is the entry point of service for most into the music ministry. To be a member only requires a desire to honor and worship the Lord. Choir practice is held weekly on Wednesdays at 7:20 p.m. in the worship center. We also meet at 10:15a.m. on Sunday mornings to pray and run-through music for the service.
Praise Team – Praise Team members are members of the Worship Choir who have the music ability and commitment to lead vocally from the platform. Praise Team members are auditioned and interviewed by the Music Minister.
Children’s Choir – Children’s Choir meets during the school year as part of our children’s program. The goal is to teach basic music principles and inspire a love of praising the Lord through song.
Instrumentalists – The Music ministry uses a variety of instruments to enhance the worship service. Those desiring to serve using their instrumental talents should contact the Music Pastor.
Audio/VisualTechnical – An important part of the worship service is the audio/visual technical staff. These team members operate the sound system and the visual presentation throughout the worship services. Those interested in serving on this team should contact the Music Pastor. Those with previous experience OR those willing to learn are welcome!
